Land of the Living
This post is set to a song (listed as the title of this post) by Roo Panes. Just know from now on, that is how I will be structuring my posts! I am writing this super late, so forgive me! I wanted to post everyday, but I have been coming home in the evening so tired that I fall asleep on my laptop... I flew into NYC yesterday morning at around 9:30 am and proceeded to take a Lyft to my cousin, Sarah's, apartment in Brooklyn. She is in this neighborhood called Bed Stuy which is super cute! Sarah said it reminds her of the avenues in SLC except the streets here are flat. I completely agree. We walked through the streets of Brooklyn and I was so excited with how incredibly diverse it is here! So far I have hear Hebrew, Creole, Arabic, and so many other languages and dialects I am not familiar with. I read somewhere that Queens (north of Bed Stuy) is the most diversely lived area of the world, with over 100 different languages being spoken there. I love it so much, to think that ...
